So far this year there has been only 7 nil-nil draws across all the leagues in the AFA. And there will have been about 600 games played so far by my reckoning.

It may have been five weeks apart, but for the first time in a number of years, Parkfield 2nd team won two consecutive league games.

No-one will be surprised when I say that our game on Saturday was called off.  This time I made the executive decision of saying “no way” at 11am. The ground was as hard as last week and this time it was still below freezing with no sight of the sun.

Apparently over a dozen clubs in the Birmingham AFA have better grounds for coping with overnight frost than St Andrews.
